Machikura Book Trade was held [City of Literature Okayama Participation Project]

Machikura Book Trade was a book trade project held at Prestige Joto. It was held for two days from Sunday, September 22nd to Monday, September 23rd with participation of approximately 400 people.

Since it rained all day on Sunday, the event was held inside Prestige Joto Center House.

Despite the rainy weather, many people attended the event.51 groups participated and 246 books were traded.

On Monday, the weather was clear and sunny, and the book trade was held outdoors as originally planned. 50 groups participated and 369 books were traded.

Participants included families with children came to the event for getting picture books and children's books. Adults came here to trade novels and hobby books.

The organiser received many comments from participants, such as “This is a very good event. Please continue.”

It was especially moving to see the children earnestly selecting books and taking home with joy.
