The event will be held to commemorate publication of “Uttate” a magazine of small stories of the City of Literature Okayama. The magazine will be launched in September 2024.
Mayumi Mori, editor of the regional magazine “Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi” and author will be a guest speaker.

Mayumi Mori
Born in 1954 in Komagome-Dousaka, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. Graduated from Waseda University, School of Political Science and Economics. She graduated from the Newspaper Research Institute of the University of Tokyo. In 1984, she and her colleagues launched the regional magazine “Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi” and she served as editor. While presiding over the archive “Yanesen Memory Storehouse,” she worked on the digitization of Yanesen. She was also involved in the preservation of historical buildings and the Shinobazu Pond in Ueno. She has written many books, including “Ogai no Saka” (Ogai's Slope), “Aostocking no Bouken” (The Adventures of the Blue Stocking), and “Kiki-gaki Kanto Daishinsai.” Her latest book is “Jyobari no hito: Hani Motoko to sono jidai”.
