The 2nd workshop of Okayama Writer-in-Residence programme was held.
The 2nd workshop was held at the Orient Museum of Okayama City on Saturday, July 27.
The workshop began with a lecture at the Orient Museum. Mr. Norishiro reviewed each “landscape sketches” written by participants of the workshop. The participants listened carefullyto others’ works.
Participants moved outdoors and finished sketching again at the same place as the 1st session. Each person worked on the sketch the landscape by words from a new point of view. The workshop ended after they returned to the Orient Museum.
The 3rd workshop will be held in October.
The Okayama Writer-in-Residence is a programme which an author stay in Okayama to conduct interviews, write articles and works and hold workshops. Yusuke Norishiro, winner of the 37th Joji Tsubota Literary Award for his work “Tabi-suru Rensyu” (Traveling Practice) and a nominee for the 169th Akutagawa Award for his latest work. He has visited Okayama City for three terms for his activities.
