“Analects” Enrich Your Life

A series of 3 lectures of “The Analects to Enrich Your Life” was held by an Emeritus Professor Kumao Mori of Okayama University, as a related event of the Okayama Literature Festival 2024,. 177 people attended the lectures in total in 3 lectures.

The themes of the lectures were “Various Attractions of the Analects,” “Chapters and Phrases of the Analects to pass on to our children and grandchildren” and “Confucius' Power of Education: Everyone is Different and Everyone is Good. Students from the calligraphy clubs of Saidaiji High School, Gakugeikan High School and Seto High School wrote four Chinese characters from the Analects in the exhibition hall. 

Professor Mori gave many interesting talks. Participants enjoyed learning the chapters and phrases of the Analects by chanting them together.
