The 2nd meeting of City of Literature Okayama Promotion Committee in FY2023

The 2nd meeting of City of Literature Okayama Promotion Committee was held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

The secretariat of the committee reported about the application for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of Literature. Okayama City had passed the national review and the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO had advised for the application of Okayama. The National Commission pointed out that inclusive initiatives and the importance of digitalization.

Committee members exchange opinions regarding the Okayama Literature Festival, Okayama Literature Elementary School, Okayama Omote-cho Book Street, and  Okayama ZINE Stadium. The Okayama ZINE Stadium is to sell hand-made books created by individuals.
